Requires the following skills: >>Cut mat boards and backing materials >>Cut mat board openings >>Must be familiar with all materials used >>Cut and clean glass and know the different types of glass >>Make and fit spacers (museum board, wood and plastic) >>Hinge and mount artworks >>Stretch and unstretch canvases, build stretchers as needed >>Wrap completed works for shipment or delivery >>Wrap and pack empty frames for wholesale accounts -Must help receive and inspect all incoming orders of materials for any damaged or missing items especially acrylic must be inspected -Must keep fitting area clean and organized at all times, and ready to receive artworks -Will be responsible for quality control inspection on all work coming from another department. -Must be able to help with shop upkeep -Must have experience working with quality pieces while meeting tight deadlines or short lead-times.. -Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks. -Being able to performing local deliveries and comfortable with off-site installations with our team is helpful -Must be able to work and communicate well with our senior fitter \\--- About Us: We’re a museum quality, picture framing studio nestled between New York City and Westchester County, in the city of Yonkers, NY. \\--- Who we’re looking for: Our team is looking to expand by bringing on a new, experienced fitter.
