Picture Framer

We have a position available for a custom picture framer/designer. In this role you will collaborate directly with customers learning their vision and inspiring to help guide them through the specifics of the design process with an in depth expertise of the products and services available. We handle fine art and photography so knowledge of the visual arts is important. We are looking for a warm and welcoming individual with a creative design sense and an ability to work well with customers. Skill set includes: • Ability to work independently, accurately, carefully, and timely • Assist in all aspects of picture framing and gallery sales • Assist in customers picking up orders, receive final payments • Develop and learn design skills for custom picture framing including: measuring accurately, choosing proper framing products for the piece being framed • Knowledge of conservation framing, treatment and proper handling of artwork, photography, shadow boxing, and materials needed to design the order are a must • Basic math knowledge and proficiency • Measuring for precision and accuracy
