Picture framer/designer

We have a position available for a custom picture framer/designer. We are a locally owned custom frame shop which has been in business for 40 years. An experienced picture framer is preferred but we will train someone with knowledge and background in art and design. Partial List of Responsibilities: • Ability to work independently, accurately, carefully and timely • Assist in all aspects of picture framing and gallery sales • Assist customers picking up orders, receive final payments • Develop and learn design skills for custom picture framing including: measuring accurately, choosing proper framing products for the piece being framed • Knowledge of conservation framing, treatment and proper handling of artwork, photography, shadow boxing, and materials needed to design the order are a must. These skills will be developed during work hours • Professional and courteous attitude are required • Help keep work areas and showroom clean
