Bright Basement is a content-driven digital brand and record label founded by Brian Hall, co-founder and former Creative Director at Marmoset Music. Lots of creatives, and a solid royalties/accounting dept, but we need someone to be the “glue.” Someone who is motivated and detail oriented and bright who can help support the creatives and keep our operation tidy and help it to grow and thrive. This job is about handling logistics so the creative team can be creative. This role is intended for someone in Portland who is looking for an entry point into a creative management career. Job duties: \\- Marketing \\- Hire and oversee designers and illustrators, manage artwork/branding for digital and physical merchandise \\- Submit new releases for playlist and press opportunities (submithub, etc) \\- Liaison with and help oversee marketing partners (direct marketing, etc) \\- Merchandise \\- Oversee relationships with merchandise manufacturers \\- Track inventory \\- Oversee and run merch campaigns \\- Social Media Manager \\- Help create or alter longer form content and administer it for IG and Tik Tok \\- Help monitor metrics and refine social media strategy \\- Community Management \\- Digital Distribution (distrokid) \\- Help scout and pitch would-be collaborators \\- Help negotiate contracts and manage relationships with collaborators \\- Keep creative team on task, on time \\- Run and maintain PM software programs and integrations (google docs, Slack, Basecamp, etc) Required traits \\- Exceptional people person \\- Able to be confrontative \\- Able to adapt \\- Detail oriented \\- Exceptional multi- tasking skills \\- Self-starter, didactic Required experience \\- People management \\- Juggling a complex workload \\- Organizing and documenting numbers and details \\- Social media management (your own accounts or others) \\- A passion for music.
