About Us
Michael Anthony Photography / Marilyn Lou Boudoir is a nationally recognized studio specializing in high-end portraiture. With locations in Texas and California, our team prides itself on professionalism, artistry, and delivering exceptional client experiences. We are opening a brand-new studio in Katy, TX and are looking for a dedicated female photographer with strong studio lighting skills to be the first member of our Katy team.
Please note, because this role requires boudoir photography, we are only considering female candidates at this time.
New Studio Opening
- Our Katy studio is planned to open between mid-November and early December 2026.
- Paid training at our McKinney, TX studio in early to mid November 2026.
- Paid from day one, including training, studio setup, and receiving equipment and products.
- Hours will vary during the launch and become consistent as the calendar fills.
Key Responsibilities
- Photograph portrait sessions in-studio (maternity, boudoir, families, pets).
- Help set up the new studio before launch.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot professional studio lighting equipment.
- Handle image culling, color correction, and basic production workflows during non-shooting hours.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment.
- Provide excellent client interaction and direction during sessions to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
- Work closely with our production and sales teams to maintain consistent studio standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional photography experience (studio portraiture preferred).
- Your people skills are incredibly important.
- Strong knowledge of studio lighting setups, modifiers, and best practices.
- Proven reliability and punctuality — must consistently adhere to schedule.
- Proficiency with digital cameras and Lightroom/Photoshop (basic editing and workflow).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients of all ages.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be available Wednesday-Sunday.
- Able to attend paid training in McKinney, TX in early to mid November 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with studio lighting systems.
- Posing skillset.
- Previous experience in a portrait studio environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000 - $80,000 a year earning potential (competitive base pay + commission for every session sold).
