Product Developer - BACKPACKS

DUTIES: The Product Developer will create, organize and maintain the bulk of product-related documents and support their successful implementation through mass-production. It will also require coordination and communication with all members of the internal Product Team. The Product Developer will ensure that all product documentation is kept up- to-date and accurately reflects EVERGOODS standards, specifications and requirements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Factory and Raw Material vendor coordination Creation and execution of the Development Calendar Creation and maintenance of the product Bill of Materials (BOM) Conduct sample reviews and create reports Creation of final product QC documentation On-time delivery and continued support of all production documents AREAS OF SUPPORT: Product SPEC update and maintenance Sewn sample or mock-up creation Raw material procurement for the shop Shop organization, maintenance Product fulfillment (shipping) during periods of high volume or when others are out of office RELEVANT SKILLS: 2+ years of experience developing cut & sew product (preferably equipment) Genuine interest in luggage and equipment products, raw materials, and the detail required to develop both to a very high standard Experience and familiarity with sewn construction and assembly Experience and familiarity with cut & sew manufacturing Experience effectively communicating with domestic and overseas vendors and manufacturers Strong written and spoken communication in English Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc) Adobe Illustrator Measurement in fractional inches and metric decimals Simple photography for use as sample review reference EMPLOYEE CONDUCT: It is the responsibility of every employee to contribute to a positive work environment through cooperative and professional interactions with co-workers, customers and vendors.
