Product + Food Photographer

The Apricots Media is a creative agency specializing in content and social media for CPG brands. We’re looking for a Charlotte-based Product + Food Photographer to support upcoming client productions across food, beverage, wellness, and consumer packaged goods.

This role is ideal for a photographer who has a strong eye for commercial imagery and can create polished, modern content that feels both elevated and natural. You should be equally comfortable photographing a packaged product in a styled studio setup and creating food-focused lifestyle imagery that makes the product feel desirable and relevant.

What You’ll Do

Photograph food, beverage, and consumer products for social media, e-commerce, retail, and digital campaignsExecute against creative briefs, mood boards, shot lists, and brand guidelinesCreate styled tabletop, ingredient, packaging, lifestyle, and product-in-use imageryCollaborate with food stylists, prop stylists, assistants, and talent when neededManage lighting and composition across both natural-light and studio setupsCapture multiple compositions and formats with social, web, retail, and paid media usage in mindMaintain consistency across larger sets of deliverables while creating enough variation for different channelsProvide organized selects and/or edited final imagery depending on project scopeHelp maintain an efficient, organized set and production workflowWhat We’re Looking For

Strong portfolio of commercial product and/or food photographyExperience working with food, beverage, beauty, wellness, or CPG brands strongly preferredExcellent understanding of lighting, composition, color, texture, and product presentationAbility to make packaged products look polished without making imagery feel overly stagedComfortable following detailed creative direction while bringing your own visual judgment to the shootStrong attention to packaging details, labels, reflections, food freshness, and brand consistencyExperience shooting for Instagram, TikTok, websites, e-commerce, retail, or advertisingReliable, organized, collaborative, and comfortable working on production timelinesBased in the Charlotte, NC area and available for in-person shootsNice to Have

Experience with food styling, Capture One or Lightroom tethering, basic retouching, motion/video capture, studio lighting, or previous agency production experience is a plus.

Pay: $25.15 - $30.29 per hour
