Programs and Administration Assistant

Village Preservation, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization seeks a highly- organized, data- and detail-oriented self-starter to assist a dynamic, community-oriented organization with data management and fundraising, educational, and advocacy projects. Duties include: • Database and data management across a number of platforms • Communications work including e-communications; serving as an entry-point to the organization • Assistance with executing public programs • Clerical and bookkeeping duties; processing bills and payments • Coordination and execution of mailings • Filing, record keeping, and correspondence • Assisting social media including Flickr, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter • Interfacing with the public • Assisting other staff members with various research, fundraising, educational, and advocacy projects Skills and Requirements: • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel; and setup and requirements of USPS bulk mailing services. • Experience and interest in constituent data and database management • Familiarity with Altru Blackbaud database, or other similar fundraising and constituent management software including setting up, running, and exporting database queries, reporting • Familiarity with QuickBooks, WordPress, MailChimp, and experience using social media for a business/organization, particularly Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr, video and photography skills • Interest in the educational, research, programming, preservation, and advocacy work of Village Preservation 40+ hrs./week, with occasional weekend and evening work.
