Central Washington University (CWU) is recruiting a Project Graphic Designer to join the Auxiliary Marketing team in Ellensburg, Washington. Under the supervision of the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager for Auxiliary Marketing, the Graphic Designer will design cohesive campaigns and marketing collateral for Enrollment Management and will work closely with the marketing and design team. Job Duties Graphic Design: \\- Serves as the creative/design voice for Enrollment Management and partner units \\- Designs consistent, engaging, and creative marketing materials focused primarily on recruiting and the incoming student experience, with user experience as a focal point \\- Designs and coordinates production of a wide variety of materials, including email templates, print, digital/web, and social media. Includes signage, print and digital publications and promotional materials, email campaign designs, assets for comprehensive marketing campaigns, signage, giveaways, social media collateral, and other assets as needed Communicates clearly and effectively with marketing team, clients, and external partners to understand marketing and design needs, and produces high- quality, professionally designed materials that are nationally competitive \\- Follows CWU brand standards and assists in developing a cohesive design within CWU brand standards voice for Enrollment Management and CWU Coordination and Communication: \\- Collaborates with marketing team to develop and produce materials to support marketing campaigns and plans \\- Communicates with university departments and external partners to understand their marketing needs and works with the Senior Marketing Manager to coordinate projects as appropriate \\- Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop • Excellent understanding of design principles • Excellent communication skills and attentiveness to details (proofreading, editing) • Demonstrated ability and/or experience working with students and/or co- workers from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds, and experiences • OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position Preferred Qualifications • One to two years’ experience relevant to the duties described in the job description • Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design • Experience working in higher education • Commitment to fostering a diverse, creative, and supportive learning environment • Experience working closely with a marketing team • Experience with video editing and photography a plus • Demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for students through various activities Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule Salary: $3,294 /month with periodic increases up to $4,286 /month Schedule/Appointment: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch) / 12-month project position Working Conditions: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions.
