As property associate, the primary focus is to guarantee that all inventory is accounted for, organized, and gathered for photography in order of priority, then returned appropriately to storage in preparation for sale. RequirementsResponsibilities: Assist the Photography Department with locating property, loading and unloading carts of property based on priority and daily quota requirements, delivering property to studios, maintaining appropriate organization and storage of propertyMaintain inventory of all property located in the building by entering relevant information into the company's computer database (e.g. location notes)Troubleshoot, track and trace missing property, communicate proactively with relevant department and property personnelUnpack, pack, handle and store property appropriatelyContribute to warehouse efficiency by keeping the storage areas clean and organizedReceive and check-in property as necessaryStyle, light, and photograph inventory as needed and determined by Photography Supervisor [Philadelphia Office]Prepare images to send for retouching, and review to ensure they meet the company's standard for quality and consistencyManage image inventory in company's computer databasePerform other duties on an as-needed basis to assist the Logistics Manager, Operations [Philadelphia Office] and the company as a whole.Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree, and 1 year or more of professional photography experience1 year or more of experience packing all types of property, from small objects to flat works, ideally in the art worldExperience in gallery installations and in hanging various types of flat propertiesExperience photographing products on white in a studio setting using monolights Skills:Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop CC, and Capture One: working knowledge of tethered capture, layers, masks, color correction tools, actions, batch processingCompetence with Microsoft Office: Outlook, MS Word, ExcelStrong communication and time management capabilities Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to write and speak clearly and effectively Physical Demands: Requires lifting, bending or standing for long periods of timeUse of dock equipment and tools (pallet jacks, crowbars, material-handling equipment)Ability to pack or unpack, lift, box and crate or uncrate property weighing up to 45 poundsSafely move furniture, decorative objects, and display casesSafely handle fragile objects of various sizes/weightsWillingness to work long hours and weekends on as-needed basisTravel locally or regionallyOperate Freeman's|Hindman vehicles Values: Excellence: Setting the standard in auction and appraisal services through expertise and meticulous attention to detailIntegrity: Upholding honesty and transparency in all interactions with clients, partners and colleagues.
