Real Estate Videographer (Contract)
Location: Portland Metro
Start Date: April 2026
About Us
We’re a fast-growing real estate media company based in Vancouver, WA. We serve realtors, builders, and property managers throughout the Greater Vancouver and Portland Metropolitan areas. As our business continues to expand, we’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented photographer who can keep projects running smoothly and on time—allowing our creative team and leadership to focus on storytelling and client relationships.
The Role
As a contracted Real Estate Photographer, you’ll be responsible for shooting a variety of property listings and delivering clean, polished images for our clients. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and equipped with professional-grade gear.
As the real estate industry is very seasonal, expect higher than average hours during the late spring months through the fall, while the winter months will be significantly lower hours. While we can work around other part time jobs or scheduling commitments, we do require your availability be up to date well in advance. Bookings are scheduled automatically based on your availability, unless they are last minute bookings within 48hours - in which case our team will confirm before committing you to the job.
What You’ll Do
• Capture interior and exterior property photos, including detail shots.
• Ariel Photography (drone + Part 107 certification preferred)
• 2D and 3D Tours (we provide the 360 Camera and training)
• Review property notes before each shoot and follow creative direction
• Communicate with the operations team to confirm shoot details, timing, and any on-site issues
• Represent the company professionally with agents, homeowners, and teams on-site
• Track drive time and working hours accurately for invoicing
Gear Requirements (Must-Have)
You must own and be comfortable operating the following gear:
• Mirrorless camera (Sony Preferred)
• 1 Wide-angle lens (16–35mm, 14–24mm, etc.)
• 1 Standard zoom lens (24–105mm preferred, 24–70mm, etc.)
• Drone (DJI preferred; Part 107 certification is required before training is complete)
• Tripod with adjustable height
• Extra batteries, memory cards, and backup storage
What We’re Looking For
• Experience shooting real estate or architectural content preferred
• Strong understanding of framing, lighting, and DSLR/Mirrorless camera operation
• Experience operating drones (part 107 required within 60 days of hire)
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable representing the brand professionally on-site
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle an inconsistent, changing weekly schedule
• *Must be located in near Portland and based in Oregon (you will largely cover our OR shoots) -- We currently have a Vancouver-based photographer covering our WA shoots
Compensation & Workflow
• $25-$30/hr* for on-site photography (depending on experience) -- *after training
• *Training wage = $20/hr (first few projects)
• $20/hr for drive time
• Projects typically take 1–4 hours to shoot, with some shoots requiring longer hours (summer will include some shoots lasting through sunset)
