Real Estate Photographer/Videographer

Real Tour, Inc., an established real estate photography and marketing company serving Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and most of Maryland, is looking to add an experienced freelance photographer to our network of independent contractors.

This is a per-assignment independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried or hourly employee position. Assignments are generally available Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Appointment volume is not guaranteed, although photographers accepting a full route typically complete 3–4 appointments in a day.

Compensation

Compensation is paid per completed service, not by the hour.

$55 per standard photography service
Additional compensation for services such as Matterport, floor plans, drone photography, video and twilight shoots.
A standard photography assignment generally requires approximately 40 minutes onsite and 20 minutes of selecting final images, plus travel time
Travel time, mileage and vehicle expenses are included in the per-service rate
Contractors accepting 3–4 appointments would earn approximately $165–$220 for those services, with the potential to earn more when additional services are included

Responsibilities

Photograph properties throughout the DMV
Produce consistent, professional real estate images that meet the required deliverable standards
Upload completed work by the assigned deadline
Communicate professionally with agents, homeowners and the Real Tour office
Arrive on time for each appointment
Learn and provide additional real estate marketing services based on experience and training

Qualifications

At least 3 years of photography experience
Strong understanding of composition, lighting and exposure
Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
Reliable high-speed internet and access to a computer capable of processing and uploading images
Excellent time-management and communication skills
Professional, patient, outgoing and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and manage accepted assignments
Ability to travel throughout assigned portions of Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Must operate as an independent freelance photographer or photography business
Must be able to provide a completed Form W-9
Must maintain appropriate automobile and business insurance
May provide photography services to other companies and maintain other clients

Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:

Real estate photography and ultra-wide-angle lenses
Matterport and Zillow 3D cameras
Measuring or drawing floor plans
Real estate videography
Drone photography
FAA Part 107 certification

Equipment

Contractors should have access to their own computer, video editing software, reliable internet, phone and vehicle. Real Tour provides access to the photography and specialized equipment required for its assignments. Contractors are responsible for the proper care and timely return of company-provided equipment.

Independent Contractor Relationship

This is a nonexclusive 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Contractors may perform photography services for other businesses and clients. There are no guaranteed hours, routes or minimum appointment volumes. Contractor is responsible for completing assignments at the scheduled client appointment time and meeting the required delivery and quality standards.
