Job Overview: The multimedia producers will be responsible for the development and production of multimedia and digital video content for the website, YouTube channels, and social media platforms. Digital video production includes writing, casting, shooting, and editing—or delegating tasks as needed. Multimedia includes acquiring data sources, designing infographics, creating motion graphics, and producing interactive projects. The position will develop and produce original digital video content and multimedia under the News + Environment and Arts + Culture verticals, + Current Events + Under- reported stories + World. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Collaborate with digital producers to develop and produce video and multimedia content and projects Collaborate with digital producers to produce multimedia that supports original editorial Design and manage production schedules, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining project deadlines Research and develop content ideas, pitch ideas to senior staff for YouTube and all social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) Develop and write treatments, decks, and scripts Create and/or coordinate graphics and motion graphics Help develop and create new video and content formats (AR, VR, 360 Video, podcasts) Review and refine best practices for YouTube Work in a fast- paced environment to meet deadlines Perform other duties as assigned.
