We have a talented full-time hygienist that is going to part-time due to becoming a mommy and we are looking for you to join our team! Part time position (2-day work week is available beginning September 7, 2021). Full time maternity leave position is also available November 2021 thru February 1, 2022\. Responsibilities · Ensure patients feel welcome, safe, and comfortable during their entire appointment · Sterilize dental instruments and hygiene operatory properly · Conduct initial oral cancer screenings and update health history · Assess periodontal conditions for each patient through proper probe depth recording as well as recession and furcation involvement · Identify various stages of periodontal disease and implementation of periodontal soft tissue management · Utilization of intraoral wand camera with future training of digital DSLR camera · Hand instrumentation and ultrasonic usage for adult and child · Communicate effective leadership and patient needs to DDS during hygiene handoff · Take diagnostic dental radiographs (BWS, PAS) with digital sensor as well as digital PAN · Maintain digital chart documentation on each patient · Eager to learn new concepts and new techniques in all aspects of dentistry Skills · Degree in Dental Hygiene · Valid Ohio dental hygiene license · In- depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA) · Drive for continuous improvement and education through CE · Outstanding communication skills · A team player · A positive, enthusiastic personality · Attention to detail · Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job · Experience in preparing and maintaining dental hygiene equipment Amy Heim DDS provided the following inclusive hiring information: We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
