Reporter or Freelance Writer

The Polk County Itemizer Observer, a 145 year old weekly newspaper located in Dallas, Oregon, is looking for a part-time reporter or freelance writer. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of reporting experience and solid skills as a general assignment reporter. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule who is able to deliver quality reporting and storytelling to readers of Polk County. Duties include attending local government meetings and maintaining assigned beats, and writing news and feature stories.
