The Prints and the Potter Gallery is seeking part-time retail sales help for the holiday season. The ideal candidate will be able to work 3-4 days per week (typically 10am - 5:30pm) including weekends. Must have good communication and organizational skills and retail/customer service experience. A background in visual arts and crafts and experience in Custom Framing design/production are beneficial. Responsibilities: • Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner • Assist customers with making selections of gift items and jewelry • Operate cash register and credit card machine • Gallery maintenance, unpack and display inventory • Gift boxing and packaging Skills required: • Math skills: measuring, fractions, calculator, sales receipts, data entry • Strong communication and customer service skills • Basic computer skills, Mac OSX and Microsoft Office Additional skills preferred: • Graphic design, photography • Custom framing sales/production a huge PLUS!
