Retoucher and Video Editor

Freelance Retoucher + Video Editor (Remote – US-Based Only) Aura Creative is a Chicago-based creative agency specializing in bold, high-quality photo and video content for product-based brands. We’re currently seeking a freelance Retoucher (with light video editing experience) to join our creative team on a project-by-project basis. While the role is primarily focused on retouching, the ideal candidate will also be able to handle basic video editing tasks as needed. Responsibilities: • Retouch product and lifestyle photography to a high-end commercial standard (skin, color, composition, lighting adjustments) • Maintain consistent color grading and visual style across projects • Organize and deliver final assets in multiple formats/sizes as needed • Occasionally assist with basic video editing (cutting, text overlays, sound syncing) using Adobe Premiere and/or CapCut • Follow internal guidelines and meet deadlines with quick turnaround Requirements: • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and CapCut • Strong portfolio showcasing product retouching and visual consistency • Understanding of natural skin retouching, color correction, and lighting refinement • Excellent communication and attention to detail • Must be located within 4 hours of CST (Chicago) – no exceptions • U.S.-based freelancers only • No agencies or companies – individuals only
