Senior Portrait Photographer

Shoob Photography is a family-owned photography company based in Modesto, California. For more than 100 years, we have provided quality photography services to schools and families throughout the Central Valley. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced photographer to join our team and specialize in senior portraits.

Position Overview

We are seeking an outgoing, professional photographer with experience photographing people, particularly high school seniors, families, or portraits. The ideal candidate is comfortable directing poses, creating a positive experience for students, and capturing high-quality images in a variety of settings.

This position includes summer senior portrait sessions as well as school photography throughout the year.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay: $19.50+ per hour (based on experience)
Company vehicles available for travel to assignments
Mileage reimbursement of $0.75 per mile when using your own vehicle
Paid training on Shoob Photography workflows and systems

Required Qualifications

Previous photography experience photographing people (portrait, senior, family, sports, wedding, or school photography)
Comfortable operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras
Ability to pose and direct individuals naturally and confidently
Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills
Ability to work with high school students, parents, teachers, and school staff
Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to lift and transport photography equipment up to 40 lbs.
Availability to work early mornings, weekdays, and occasional weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Experience photographing senior portraits
Experience with off-camera flash and studio lighting
Experience in school photography
