Job DescriptionJob DescriptionStill Light Studios is a school photography company that is looking for seasonal, part time, or contract photographers to join our team this fall and spring school season.If you are a professional portrait, headshot, children, or wedding photographer looking to fill some gaps in your calendar during the weekdays, then this may be the perfect job for you.If you would not consider yourself a "professional" photographer but have experience photographing portraits, headshots, family portraits, or children photography, and love working with people, this may be a great fit for you.You do not need to edit or process any photos.We simply want you to have fun and capture genuine smiles of students and teachers.You do not need to use your own camera or lighting gear, we will provide the equipment. We use Nikon mirrorless cameras. If you are not used to Nikon gear, no problem, you will get the hang of it.You will be working with a great team of photographers on each photo session, so if you have any questions about anything, someone will be there to help you.We photograph students ranging in age from Preschool to high school.Photo days are primarily Mondays - Fridays, with arrival times at each school around 7am-7:30am, to set up equipment. Our photo days range in duration with end times ranging from 12:30pm-4pm, depending upon the size of the school.You must be able to have reliable transportation to and from each job.You will be required to have a background check, through a company we use, to join our team.You need to be 18+ years old.You need to be able to lift 40lbs.We do offer a retirement option if you are a part-time employee.School photography is more than just pushing a button to record how someone looks at a given moment in time. We as school photographers have the opportunity encourage every child in front of our camera, to speak kindly to them, to get them to laugh, to help them feel confident about how they look, to let them know they have a great smile, and to encourage them to share their smile with everyone.
