About the Role

Are you a photographer who thrives on variety? Do you love the idea of a new "office" every day?

MJ Thomas Photography is a family-owned Colorado staple, and we are looking for high-energy photographers to join our team. This isn't a desk job. You’ll be on the road, capturing everything from a local kindergartner’s first school portrait to the intensity of a varsity sports team.

This is a seasonal position with a direct path to full-time employment and benefits for those who prove to be a perfect fit for our team.

What You’ll Do

The Art: Use your eye for lighting and composition to capture high-quality portraits of students and athletes.
The Travel: Journey to different schools and towns daily. You’ll be the face of MJ Thomas on the road!
The Impact: Work with kids of all ages, bringing the patience and enthusiasm needed to get that perfect smile or "game face."
The Setup: Handle the logistics of a mobile studio—transporting, setting up, and breaking down professional gear.

What You Bring to the Team

The Gear & The Go: You have a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license. You’re comfortable with frequent travel (including some overnight stays) and transporting equipment.
Stamina: You can lift 25–50 lbs and stay energized during early morning starts or evening sports events.
People Skills: You are a "pro" at making people feel comfortable in front of the lens. You show up in business casual, ready to represent our family brand.
Technical Foundation: You understand the basics of camera operation and lighting, but you’re also eager to learn our specific MJ Thomas style.
