Seasonal Assistant Photographer

This person may be asked to photograph non-gameday events such as clinics, Community Outreach or other Mets related events both at Citi Field and within the NYC area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Shoot photos pre-game, in-game and post-game to fulfill photo department needs • Assist with editing, keywording and organizing images from Mets photography team • Photograph non-baseball events as needed on both gamedays and on non-gamedays throughout the season Qualifications: • Extensive knowledge of photography, DSLR camera equipment, basic lighting equipment and editing software (Photoshop, Photo Mechanic) • Previous experience photographing sports and events • Well-versed knowledge of baseball a plus, but not required • Overall professionalism: businesslike attitude, appropriate attire, cheerful disposition, teamwork, judgment • Computer skills: Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop & Lightroom), Photo Mechanic or Adobe Bridge, Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint and Excel), Outlook, Windows • Organization and multitasking skills: ability to organize information and quickly learn organizational methods • Dependability: available for early morning/late evening/weekend work, assist other members of department, on-time for work, commitment to non-traditional hours • Needs and wants to be part of a winning team; ongoing sense of urgency • High energy, enthusiastic, ego-less person with total team player orientation and ability to motivate colleagues at every level or organization • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment • Trustworthy and full commitment to confidentiality and discretion • Embraces Mets organizational values The above information is intended to describe the general nature, type, and level of work to be performed.
