Second Shooter / Associate Photographer — Chicago, IL

TK Photography Chicago is hiring Second Shooters and Associate Photographers who want to learn the craft from the inside of Chicago's largest and most established photography company. This is the entry point into the TK Photography Chicago team — and one of the best learning environments in the Chicago photography market. As a second shooter or associate, you'll work alongside lead photographers across weddings, family sessions, events, corporate assignments, and more. You'll observe and assist on complex assignments, take on supplementary shooting responsibilities as your skills grow, and build a portfolio of real-world professional photography work. Second shooting at TK Photography Chicago means exposure to the full range of professional photography work — not just one specialty. One week you may be assisting at a corporate gala in the Loop, the next you're a second shooter at a wedding in Naperville, or supporting a family session at Lincoln Park. The most important qualities we look for aren't technical — they're attitudinal. Punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and a genuine eagerness to learn matter more than your current skill level. This is a contractor position. Availability for weekend assignments is important, particularly during peak photography season (May-October). As you prove yourself, you'll have the opportunity to transition from second shooter to lead photographer across TK Photography Chicago's portfolio of session types.
