Second Shooter / Associate Photographer -- Austin, TX

TK Photography Austin is hiring second shooters and associate photographers to support our lead photographers across all session types in Austin. This is the ideal entry point for photographers who are building their professional portfolio and want hands-on experience working in a structured, professional photography operation. As a second shooter or associate, you'll work alongside an experienced lead photographer at family sessions, events, weddings, school photo days, and other engagements. Your role is to provide complementary coverage -- different angles, candid moments, detail shots, and additional perspectives that enhance the final delivered gallery. This is not a background role. You'll be actively shooting throughout the session and your images will be reviewed and potentially included in the client gallery. The experience you gain working in a professional team environment is invaluable for building the skills and confidence to eventually lead your own sessions. Many of our lead photographers started as second shooters.
