Instead of spending thousands on film school, I bought prosumer film gear and I'm currently taking crash courses on filming, editing and color grading at "YouTube University." I realize I can learn better firsthand from an experienced filmmaker and I'm therefore seeking someone who's either fresh from film school but lacks gear, a seasoned filmmaker looking for a second shooter or more gear to complement what you already have, or a veteran filmmaker who lost interest in the art and is looking to rekindle your passion. I know the camera is not the revered RED, the drone isn't the venerated Inspire, and the lenses are not cines or primes, and it's obvious we will not be able to compete for gigs with established production houses that have better gear. It'll be even better if you are familiar with screenwriting, storyboarding, and crew wrangling... in case you are also interested in making narratives with me. While I don't have any experience in filmmaking, a few years ago I co-wrote a short film that played in a couple of festivals.
