Senior Graphic Designer

This position reports to and works closely with the director of marketing and communications in the strategic planning and creative direction of all OES publications and digital media. * Work closely with the Admissions Office and Advancement to support their publication and design needs. Work closely with OES employees and external vendors to create custom 3-D pieces when needed. * Produce high quality school photography for use in internal and external publications and on oes.edu. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** * BA/BS in related field or equivalent combination of training and experience * Ten years’ relevant print and/or web graphic design experience, as demonstrated by portfolio of work * IT skills: high level of general digital literacy; proficiency in Google Suite, fluency in current design practices and graphics software tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, Lightroom, iMovie, and Adobe Acrobat, flexibility and willingness to adapt and learn as digital tools evolve * Intercultural competency, ability to interact and work effectively with diverse groups of students and colleagues, commitment to equity and inclusion * Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen * Documentation of Covid 19 vaccination or medical/religious exemption **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** * Experience in marketing and/or advertising in a nonprofit or school setting * Experience taking quality photos of people and events with samples to share **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:** * Professional graphic design skills, exceptional design aesthetic, attention to detail * Knowledge of emerging trends in design, flexibility when priorities change, ability to take initiative * Organizational and project management skills, ability to plan, set priorities, juggle competing deadlines, deliver cost-effective projects on time * Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills * Ability to consistently apply principles of equity, inclusion, and anti-racism in day to day work and interaction with the broader workplace community * Interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and to maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** * Ability to lift and carry photographic equipment on a regular basis * Ability to sit at a computer and keyboard for substantial periods * Ability to stand for up to two hours at events and other occasions * Mobility sufficient to move about the campus and off-site events venues * Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers, students, and constituents .
