Senior portraits are a milestone — the image that ends up in the yearbook, on grandma's wall, and in every senior-year memory. The best senior portrait photographers combine technical skill with the ability to connect with teenagers authentically. You'll need to build rapport quickly, direct poses that feel natural and editorial, and work through multiple looks efficiently. Chicago's high schools span every neighborhood from the North Shore to the South Side. Outdoor sessions typically take place in Chicago's parks, urban streetscapes, and lakefront — bringing an editorial urban energy to senior portraits. Studio sessions deliver controlled, clean looks for yearbook-quality headshots. Seasonal flexibility is critical — senior portrait season peaks in summer and early fall for outdoor sessions, and continues through winter for studio work.
