Photo Shoot Coordinator

The role of the Shoot Coordinator with Images 4 Kids is to provide oversite, organization & direction while effectively managing the picture day photo shoot for a childcare center or preschool. This early morning, fast moving and dynamic position is instrumental in being the connection between the school and the Images 4 Kids staff to help ensure a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable experience for participants.

What You'll Own

· Assist school personnel as needed in maintaining a calm waiting period for children
Arrives at the shoot 10 minutes prior to the established start time to meet with the Director of the school or the staff person the director has assigned as the liaison for the day.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for the picture day
· Manage the check-in processes for students and staff
· Maintain flow and timing to keep the photo shoot on schedule
· Transport the equipment, backdrops, and supplies (this may also be done by lead photographer)
· Oversee set up and tear down of shooting area
· Troubleshoot issues such as delays, missing participants, or technical challenges
· Maintain accurate records and documentation
· In cooperation with the school, manages the daily shoot schedule. Utilizes Images 4 Kids process and procedures in managing the picture day shoot
· Works with Lead Photographer and Photography Assistant in making final decisions around prop placement and poses.
· Provide clear instruction and guidance to school staff
· Answer questions and concerns by school personnel or parents, working directly with children as necessary.
· If necessary (bathroom breaks, etc.), assist the photographer in posing the children for their portrait and helping the child feel comfortable as needed to elicit smiles.
· As possible, assist the poser in checking for (and cleanliness, neat hair, clothing stains on child)
· Positive, respectful, and professional interactions with all school personnel, parents, children and co-workers

Willingness to help with shared task such as loading/unloading vehicle; set up/take down of equipment, etc.
Able to stand for long periods of time
Comfortable with lifting and transporting equipment (20-40 lbs)

What We Are Looking For

Must have availability Monday through Friday early morning to 12-1pm
Open to part-time seasonal work; March through May and September through November

Also, This Would Be Great!

Experience in event coordination, photography or school operations
Previous experience with young children (birth through age 5)
Experience with photography (does not have to be professional experience)
Experience leading a project

What You Can Expect

Collaboration with I4K staff and school staff. On-the-job training in set up/use of equipment and procedures for managing the photo shoot is provided. Eventual transition to photographer if interested.
Compensation begins at $19-21 dependent on experience.

Are you available to work Monday through Friday mornings beginning as early as 6:45 AM anywhere within the Denver Metro?
