Social Media & Photography Coordinator

DTR Modern Galleries in Boston is seeking a part-time (3 days per week), on-site Social Media & Photography Coordinator to support the gallery’s digital presence, marketing initiatives, and brand presentation. This role is ideal for someone who is visually driven, highly collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to help shape and maintain the gallery’s public presence across digital, print, and in-person platforms.

The Social Media and Photography Coordinator will be responsible for helping with photographing and photoshopping new artwork as it arrives in the gallery, collecting and editing photo content from all four gallery locations in order to maintain an active, polished, and engaging online presence for the gallery. Creating eye-catching content for Instagram, email campaigns and other branded media in both still and video format.

This position requires someone who is comfortable coordinating across multiple gallery locations and is willing to assist with day-to-day on site gallery operations when needed, including hanging artwork in order to photograph and create content.

Responsibilities:
• Photograph and inspect new works as they arrive at the gallery
• Edit and prepare images for online inventory, social media, email campaigns, and other marketing needs
• Maintain the gallery’s social media platforms with content that is visually cohesive, engaging, and aligned with the gallery’s overall identity
• Coordinate with staff across gallery locations to collect and organize photography and video assets for inventory records, social media, and marketing materials
• Create and distribute email campaigns through Mailchimp for exhibitions, events, artist presentations, and other gallery announcements
• Communicate with artists and artist studios, when needed, to gather content and support marketing initiatives
• Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar to support exhibitions, events, artist milestones, and seasonal marketing priorities
• Create branded digital media, including short-form video content, in support of the gallery’s online presence

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
