We do this by matching children ages 6 to 16 with caring adults who serve as mentors, advocates, resources, and guides. Volunteers commit to meeting with their Littles 3 to 4 times per month for a minimum of one year. Our professional staff are there every step of the way to solve problems and support each match’s success. BBBS serves approximately 800 children in Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties each year. Our proven model of one-to-one mentoring helps kids build the skills and capacities that lead to lifelong success.RoleSpecial Event Photographer – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central TexasResponsibilitiesPosed and candid photoshoots at events and matchesCoordinate and capture photos for monthly match events at our office or in the communityDocument events such as happy hours, and the Ice Ball Annual GalaCoordinate photos for social media, banners, printed materials, senior photos, and keepsakesAssist with match and group photoshoots for various usesMaintain awareness of confidentiality and obtain appropriate media releasesSupport additional photography needs as requestedQualificationsStudy photography in schoolExperience taking photos of individuals and large groupsEnjoy taking pictures at eventsEnjoy attending and supporting nonprofit eventsGeneral editing abilitiesComfortable with confidentiality and media releasesPerksFree BBBS swagFree attendance to private/ticketed eventsReceive service hours for school, work, or resume buildingPractice for school or workAbility to use approved pictures for work or schoolAbout BBBS: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas exists to help children succeed in life.
