21 Hourly Job Category Arts Are you a photo expert? The Art program is seeking a Studio Director Photography to lead our Photo Central studio. In addition, this position will serve as coordinator for programming inventory, scheduling, and maintenance of a multiuse studio and equipment. Responsibilities: Manage dark room, framing, and digital lab, chemicals, materials and equipment Responds to inquiries in writing, person or on the phone regarding all aspects of programming (registration, special events, facility usage, marketing, instructor and aide direct contact) Coordinates recruitment, hiring, training and evaluating instructors, programs and volunteers Coordinates photography programs and services online, offsite, and at the studio Maintains instructor records including payroll, contracts, materials and program reports Coordinates the development and implementation of procedures regarding safety, district policies for annual instructor training and contract renewals Maintain the physical space of the studio including equipment repairs, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and maintenance requests Manage the marketing, publications, constant contact, web sites and social media venues for the program Collects data analysis, provides program reports and recommendations to supervisor on equipment, programs, instructors, and contractors Liaison between instructors, students and Gallery Director for art exhibits Assist with exhibits (marketing, recruitment of artists, inventory, openings, sales, and closings) Enforces park, program and District rules and regulations Encourages and provides excellent public relations and customer service Performs other duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT Employees predominantly work in a classroom/studio environment with loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, road/surface hazards, vibration, chemicals, cleaning agents, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, and hazardous physical substances, odors, and fumes. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must possess mobility to work in maintenance operations; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work around machines, to operate varied hand and power tools and equipment, and to operate vehicles to visit different sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, over the telephone or radio.
