**Technical Assistant**

**Miami, FL**| **Full Time**

**Summary**
Entravision AHORA is looking for a Technical Assistant to support our live news and streaming productions. This is a hands-on position for someone with knowledge of teleprompter operations, technical production coordination (TPM), and floor management, who is eager to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities within a modern broadcast environment.

**Essential Functions**

* Operate the teleprompter for live and recorded newscasts and programming.
* Serve as Floor Manager when assigned, coordinating talent and studio activity during rehearsals and live productions.
* Support the Technical Director with daily control-room and studio operations.
* Assist with TPM responsibilities, including coordinating incoming remote guests, reporters, affiliates, and outside signals.
* Connect and perform pre-air checks with remote contributors, verifying video, audio, IFB/communications, connectivity, framing, and overall signal quality before clearing them for air.
* Communicate the status of guests, reporters, and incoming feeds to the Technical Director and production team.
* Help troubleshoot technical issues before and during live broadcasts.
* Learn and support additional control-room, studio, and remote-production functions as needed.

**Required Education and Experience**

* Working knowledge of teleprompter operations, live television production, and studio/control-room workflows.
* Familiarity with TPM and Floor Manager responsibilities.
* Basic understanding of video, audio, IFB, remote connections, and live signals.
* Technically curious and comfortable learning new broadcast and streaming technologies.
* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to multitask and remain focused in a fast-paced live environment.
* Reliable, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
* Understanding of Spanish is strongly preferred.
* Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during breaking news or special coverage.

**POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK**This is a Full Time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.
