This role ensures brand consistency while elevating storytelling across all photo studio outputs. This Studio Creative Lead collaborates closely with stylists, photographers, merchandisers, and marketing teams to bring seasonal and promotional concepts to life.BE THE ISLAND GUIDEDevelop and direct on-brand visual concepts for still and video content within the photo studio.Oversee and approve set design, styling direction, lighting, and composition for eCommerce, editorial, and social content.Partner with the merchandising and planning teams to prioritize product presentation across categories.Lead pre-production planning, including mood boards, shot lists, and location scouting (if applicable).Direct talent, stylists, photographers, and crew on set to achieve creative goals efficiently.Review selects and final imagery, ensuring visual consistency, retouching needs, and brand standards.Collaborate with retouching and post-production teams to ensure quality and accuracy.Maintain and evolve the studio photography style guides, serving as the guardian of visual consistency and quality.Continuously evolve the brand’s visual identity by staying ahead of trends and competitive benchmarks.Other duties as required and that may occasionally be necessary to support the business.ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISEGenerally, 6–8+ years of experience in art direction, with at least 3 years in a photo studio or fashion/retail environment.Strong portfolio showcasing styling, layout, and conceptual work across retail and digital channels.Deep understanding of photography, lighting, styling, and visual storytelling.Excellent leadership and team management skills; able to give clear, actionable direction on set.Strong project management skills: able to juggle multiple shoots and meet deadlines in a fast-paced studio.Experience with lifestyle, fashion, or home goods brands.Familiarity with digital asset management systems and studio workflow tools (e.g., Capture One, Adobe Creative Suite).Proven ability to create scalable and efficient processes for high-volume photo productionThe ability to effectively build relationships with internal customers, peers and leadershipStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.Has strong attention to detail, organization and time management skillsThe ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Understanding of high-end retail and the unique needs of elevated lifestyle and fashion photography.Clear and effective written and oral communication with strong interpersonal skills.Delivers high-quality creative products while holding high standards for self and others on the creative team.Has experience leading multiple teams in studio.PHYSICAL ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISEFrequently able to lift and move up to approximately 25 lbs.Frequently able to Bend/stoop/kneel as requiredFrequently able to twist as requiredMultiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.Rate Range: $86,700.00 to $144,400.00 annuallyMahalo (thank you) for your interest in Tommy Bahama!Tommy Bahama is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against qualified applicants based on race, color, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, religious creed, sexual orientation, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, age, military and veteran status, marital status, physical or mental disability, protected medical condition, genetic information, reproductive health decision-making or any other characteristic protected by law.
