Position: 4-Week Underwater Photography Internship in Africa Location & DurationLocation: Mozambique or South Africa. Duration: 4 weeks. Start dates: monthly (enquire with us when applying). The company works with broadcasters, corporations, NGOs, print media and online outlets. Work is not limited to water‑based projects, and you may also participate in terrestrial work.ResponsibilitiesWork alongside project staff, assisting on environmental media work and learning skills in underwater photography and videography. You are not replacing any member of staff; you will help alongside them while learning new skills.Training ProgrammeTraining is delivered through:Direct tutorship and practical underwater photographic expeditions.Practical cultural photographic expeditions.Free‑diving training.Theoretical and practical tuition for digital workflow and post‑processing.Underwater ExpeditionsStudents will partake in 20 expeditions:2 pool‑based sessions focusing on photographing and working with human models underwater.16 field expeditions concentrating on photographing and/or filming local marine wildlife (wide‑angle and macro subjects).Cultural ExpeditionsStudents will partake in 2 cultural expeditions:One water/surf‑based expedition focusing on photographing human models at the water’s edge.One expedition focusing on photographing local village life.Free‑diving TrainingStudents will partake in 4 underwater free‑diving expeditions:One pool‑based session focusing on breath‑hold techniques.Three open‑water expeditions concentrating on locating and photographing marine wildlife (e.g., whale sharks, humpback whales, reef vistas) and working with models underwater.Skills & Techniques CoveredExtensive and detailed training on underwater cameras and digital underwater photography.Successful shooting of models underwater.Progression from amateur to professional photographer with a positive cash‑flow.Night‑time photography on land, including shooting star trails and landscapes.Local village life and seashore photography.Shooting wide angle, macro, super‑macro and ambient light underwater.Strobe use and creative underwater lighting effects.Working with Premiere Pro and adding music to films.Digital workflow: workshops on Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere Pro specifically geared to underwater photographers.Creative ideas for underwater specialists.Keywording images in Lightroom and on stock sites.Daily RoutineStudents will alternate between diving and photographing/video graphing, receiving tutoring in photography and video techniques, free diving, and processing and editing photographs.ScheduleProgram runs on weekdays only; during weekends, students may participate in activities and tours or relax.#J-18808-Ljbffr
