For more information about working at the University of Arizona and relocations services, please click here .Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms custom and specialized photography in-house or on location using a variety of cameras and other photographic equipment; determines camera setting, lighting requirements and other specifications to ensure quality shooting.Edits digital images to prepare them for use on various platforms such as websites, print, and social media.Maintains database of photos taken for future use/reference.Assists with inventorying various photographic supplies, assists with ordering supplies according to departmental policies and/or budget constraints.May operate various graphic design equipment such as cameras, graphic computers and printing and lettering equipment.Consults with clients to determine their needs based on end use, budget and time.Budget accountability.Additional duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of field production equipment including, but not limited to, cinema-style and DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio.Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite required, specifically Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized.Strong verbal, and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively.Ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as independently.Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.Knowledge of position related NCAA and Big 12 rules and compliance.Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.One (1) year of relevant work experience required.Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the UniversityFleet Safety Policy .Preferred QualificationsExperience photographing sporting events.Experience photographing live action eventsFLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Number of Hours Worked per Week 40 + nights and weekends Job FTE 1.0 Work Calendar Fiscal Job Category Communication and Marketing Benefits Eligible Yes - Full Benefits Rate of Pay Depending on experience Compensation Type hourly rate Grade 6 Compensation Guidance The Rate of Pay Field represents the University of Arizona’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
