About the Role A leading headshot and portrait studio with locations in London, New York, and Los Angeles is hiring a US Studio and Operations Lead on a part-time basis (two days per week) to run its New York and Los Angeles studios. The position is based in the New York studio with trips to Los Angeles every six to eight weeks, and requires close collaboration with UK-based leadership. Overseeing day-to-day operational delivery across New York and Los Angeles studios, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiencyCarrying out regular studio inspections in New York, monitoring equipment, stock levels, and coordinating maintenanceMonitoring operational performance, flagging risks, and identifying improvement opportunitiesTracking operational spending and identifying efficiencies while maintaining an exceptional client experienceImplementing and maintaining SOPs and workflows across all US studio activityLine managing the US admin team across both locations with clear direction, regular feedback, and development supportHolding regular one-on-ones with photographers, monitoring performance including client feedback, gallery sales, punctuality, and professionalismCoaching photographers and managing day-to-day performance issuesSupporting US HR activity including recruitment, onboarding, and absence management for a predominantly freelance workforceLeading onboarding for new US startersActing as the primary representative of company values and culture within the US teamsKeeping communication flowing between US studios and UK leadershipRepresenting the company at industry events, workshops, and networking opportunitiesBuilding relationships with key clients, agents, talent managers, and industry contacts across film, TV, theatre, and musicIdentifying new business opportunities and collaborating on US commercial strategy Preferred qualifications include experience in a photography studio, production company, or talent management environment; an existing network within the creative industries in New York or Los Angeles; and familiarity with Slack, Trello, or similar platforms.
