**Visual Information Specialist (Journeyman)**
**Location:** Senate Dirksen Building or 888 First Street, NE
**Schedule:** Monday through Friday**,** 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
* Personnel must arrive prepared to begin work at 8:00 AM on scheduled workdays
* Schedule applies when the Senate is in session (excluding training or large-scale events)
* Candidates must acknowledge the ability to support extended hours and weekend coverage as needed
**Period of Performance:**October 3, 2026, through October 2, 2027 when the Senate is in session (except for training or large-scale events).
**Position Overview**
KeenLogic is seeking a skilled **Visual Information Specialist** to support the Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) Photographic Services Office. This is a temporary position supporting high-visibility photography and visual media operations for the United States Senate. This role supports high-volume photography, print fulfillment, digital asset management, and visual media operations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
**Required Qualifications**
* U.S. Citizen
* Demonstrated experience as a professional photographer, imaging technician, or visual information specialist supporting large-scale events or high-volume media operations
* Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, and other industry-standard photo/video editing and print-preparation tools
* Experience managing large volumes of digital imagery and print orders
* Strong understanding of metadata tagging, print labeling, and archival processes
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Ability to support occasional extended hours and weekend coverage
**Primary Responsibilities**
* Perform professional photography and short-form video assignments for the Senate, including hearings, press conferences, and office visits as part of the Daily Imagery Workflow (DIW)
* Support the Senate Photographic Services lab by executing high-volume photo print fulfillment operations. Duties include managing print orders using established workflow systems, preparing and quality-checking prints for delivery, maintaining metadata and order tracking accuracy, assisting with customer communication, and ensuring timely handoffs of completed print jobs to Senate offices
* Assist in collecting, organizing, editing, and archiving photographs and video, ensuring all metadata (photographer, caption/description, and other relevant fields) is consistently applied
* Support time-sensitive imagery edits and uploads for Senate Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
* Demonstrated experience as a professional photographer or imaging technician supporting large-scale events or high-volume visual media workflows
* Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, and other industry-standard imagery editing and print-preparation tools
* Ability to manage and organize large volumes of digital imagery and/or print orders, adhering to clearly defined workflows and deadlines
* Experience in metadata tagging, print labeling, and archival processes to ensure consistency and traceability
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision and high attention to detail;

**Daily Imagery Files**
* Edited and post-processed photographs and short-form video
* High-resolution deliverables compliant with Senate Photographic Services standards
* Accurate metadata including:
+ Attribution
+ Captions/descriptions
+ Required archival fields
**Daily Print Order Fulfillment**
* Completed and quality-checked photographic prints prepared according to Senate standards
* Deliverables include:
+ Accurate print selections
+ Verified print sizes, quantities, and finishes
+ Proper metadata tagging and labeling
+ Order status tracking updates
+ Timely delivery to designated Senate offices or pickup points
