5blox is a full-service home renovation and interior design firm serving Los Angeles and Orange County. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels, full-home renovations, new builds, and interior design.

About the Role

We're looking for a full-time Videographer & Photographer to join the 5blox Media Team. This role includes both on-site production and in-office work. You'll travel to active projects throughout Los Angeles and Orange County to capture project progress, team insights, client testimonials, and completed homes. You'll also work from our San Pedro office on shoot preparation, media organization, and team collaboration.

This position reports to the Media Director, and requires proactive daily communication and on-time arrival to shoot call times per the shared team calendar.

Responsibilities

• Film project milestones, progress updates, and completed transformations

• Capture designers and project managers sharing project insights

• Film and help direct client testimonials

• Photograph homes before, during, and after renovation

• Capture professional interior and exterior photography

• Manage camera, lighting, and audio on location

• Prepare quick-turn photo and video edits for social media, with additional editing support available for larger projects

• Prepare for upcoming shoots and coordinate project needs

• Organize footage, photography, and media assets

• Collaborate with the Media Director and team on content planning

• Manage assigned shoots from planning through final handoff

Qualifications

• Professional videography and photography experience (interior design a plus)

• Comfortable producing short-form content and basic edits for social media

• Strong camera, lighting, composition, and audio skills

• Working proficiency with editing software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and/or Photoshop

• Portfolio or reel demonstrating both video and photography work

• Architecture, interior design, construction, or real estate experience is a plus

• Comfortable filming and directing people on camera

• Comfortable working on active construction sites

• Strong organization and time-management skills

• Able to work independently and take ownership of projects

• Collaborative and comfortable working closely with a creative team

• Able to travel regularly throughout Los Angeles and Orange County

Equipment & Travel

Professional camera and audio equipment are provided for project-site travel. This is a full-time position based out of our San Pedro office, with regular travel to 5blox project sites throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
