Videographer/Photographer

This position will create a variety of video and photo content for the college. To be successful in this position, they will need to be a good communicator, a self-starter, organized, capable of delivering clear creative ideas, and show attention to detail.Videographer/Photographer Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with the Cottey marketing team, internal clients, and outside creative professionals on creative workStrategically translating client needs into creative video and photograph concepts that enhance the intended meaning of the workRecord video using professional equipmentSet-up lighting and audio equipmentArticulating and pitching creative ideas and concepts to the marketing team and internal clientsOrganize and schedule shootsSet up and produce live-streamed events on campusMaintain Cottey’s Youtube pageCapture and edit photos across campus for multiple platformsPerform retouching and image adjustments after photo shootsMaintain photography and video equipmentWork Hours This is a full-time position at 40 hour per week. Some nights and weekends will be required. This position may be eligible for some remote work.Videographer/Photographer Qualifications and SkillsUnderstanding of video and photo trendsExceptional ability to visualize and capture shotsExcellent command of English language, grammar, spelling and usageAbility to communicate verbally and in writingAttention to detailComputer technical skillsDeadline-orientedOpenness and ability to incorporate feedbackAbility to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds of equipment around campusMust have full-spectrum color vision correctable to 20/20 including being able to distinguish varying shades of gray and amounts of contrast.Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceThree (3) years of video experienceThree (3) years of photography experienceThree (3) years of using editing software including: Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition, Davinci Resolve, and After EffectsApplication Requirements Required for Application:Resume, Cover Letter, and Creative PortfolioMust include a creative portfolio (can be a link in the Resume or Cover Letter).
