About the Role

We're looking for a creative, passionate volunteer to capture the people, stories, events, and moments behind our work. It's a great fit if you love visual storytelling, want to support a meaningful mission, and want to build your portfolio with hands-on experience.

What You'll Do

Videography

Capture high-quality video at events, programs, campaigns, and community activities.Film interviews, testimonials, behind-the-scenes moments, and organizational stories.Create short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and longer-form footage for YouTube and storytelling.Work with the Communications team to understand the creative direction of each project.Help organize and transfer footage after events.Flash Photography

Capture candid and posed photos of speakers, volunteers, participants, guests, performers, and behind-the-scenes moments.Provide a variety of shots that tell the full story of each event, not just posed pictures.Produce professional images for social media, newsletters, websites, fundraising, press, and promotions.Deliver organized, high-quality images after each assignment.What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a professional or have years of experience. You should be:

Creative and passionate about visual storytellingComfortable with camera and video equipment, and familiar with photography and/or videographyReliable and able to meet agreed-upon deadlinesDetail-oriented and organizedComfortable in event and community settingsRespectful when photographing and filming community members and participantsAble to work independently while taking direction from the Communications teamBonus skills: DSLR/mirrorless cameras, flash or event photography, video interviews, short-form social or YouTube content, and editing tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Lightroom, or Photoshop.
