Photography Assistant Overview

We are looking for a Photography Assistant who has a strong interest in photography and wants to learn in a real, hands-on environment.

This is a starting position, so you do not need to have professional photography experience. We will train you on everything you need to know, including how to assist photographers, handle equipment, work at events, and support the team during shoots.

This position is a great fit for a high school student, college student, or someone younger who is interested in photography and wants to gain experience.

If you are reliable, eager to learn, comfortable working on your feet, and interested in photography, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

Assist photographers during weddings, events, and photo sessions
Help carry, set up, and break down photography equipment
Keep gear organized and ready throughout the day
Support the lead photographer with simple tasks during shoots
Help make sure the photography team stays on schedule
Pay attention to details and follow directions carefully
Maintain a professional and respectful attitude around clients and guests
Help keep equipment clean, organized, and properly packed away
Learn basic photography, lighting, and event workflow skills over time

Qualifications

A strong interest in photography or videography
No professional experience required
Willingness to learn and take direction
Reliable, responsible, and on time
Comfortable working weekends and events when needed
Able to stand, walk, and carry equipment during event days
Good communication skills
Positive attitude and team-player mindset
Professional appearance and behavior around clients
Take simple phone clips and photos that can be used for social media and internal marketing
Capture behind-the-scenes photo and video content during weddings, events, and photo sessions
